Hi All,

I have been ill since 2007. I have had a battery of tests and onto my second load since they were first done in 2007.

My GP does not know what it is,my neurologist was helpful till the brain and spine mri came back clear except bulging disks in C2,L4/5 S1 but not enough narrowing to cause problems. He redid the MRI again and i get the results on wed as i had vertigo for 2 mths in jan 2009.

I have a new symptom now which has been here for 2 mths and its a numb patch on my hip/buttock the size of a dinner plate it started the size of my thumb, i cant feel anything there and its numb all the time but around the edge of the numb patch the skin is so hypersensitive it hurts to touch and lay on it. I doubt he will do a lumber MRI it was like pulling teeth to redo the last 2.

He does not feel it is MS due to no lesions but what is causing this numbness plus the blurred vision, weakness in legs, arms and shoulders i am registered disabled and noone can give me an answer other then i have a pain condition but does pain cause numbness i dont think so!!

Help?? i have 3 young kids and just want my old life back where i was woring jogging taking the kids out now i am at times house or bed bound and have to use sticks and a wheelchair to get around.

Sam

have you tried
hi, i for the first time feel sorrow & truely down. i have been racing around this forum & putting in my info in hope of helping, you see i have been having a big win on my health scene to the extent that my cfs, thyroid disfunction, allergies, liver & just about everything associated with total overload has begun to really improve so much so that i'd started to eat foods that otherwise caused symptom agravation, with no adverse reactions, but the last few days have all rendered me resumed to where i was 12mths ago (which is still better than where i was 3yrs ago). Any way the reason for me here is have either of you tried a detox diet or alkalizing diet or balanced hydration. these are the things that have helped me. 3yrs ago ihad alot of the symptoms of MS & after my GP's (3 different ones)told me there is nothing we can do for you, try alternative, i started to do some research for myself & what makes the body function,(long story short)even now i don't have the cramping muscles etc & my health has definately improved, although today my project was to barrow 2 half wheelbarrow loads of dirt & that done me in, although i do think it has something to do with the cooler weather lately (Australia).
So i just thought that these diets or lifestyles might be worth a try to see if your body can help self heal. also a lot of my illness is directly relative to mineral balance.

Thank you for your reply, i am sorry you are going through this yourself and like me getting no answers.Have you tried lyrica i did find it helped my hypersensitive skin but i put 2 st while on it so came off but not everybody puts on weight on it and its great for nerve pain and tingling and numbness. Have the DRS given you any idea what it could be??
