Carple Tunnel Syndrome or tendonitis ? Posted: 09-30-08 16:04pm
Hi back in 1999, I went to the
doctor,because my left shoulder,arm and
hand were causin me severe pain and making
it hard for me to sleep at night. I was
sent to have a nerve conduction test, were
I was diagnosed with Carpol Tunnel
Syndrome. I recieved a cortisone shot in
my elbow for tendonitis, and in my wrist
to try and releve the symptoms. I started
wearing a splint at night,to allow me to
sleep. It really never cleared up just
became managable. I've had the numbness
and tingling since then. Well in the last
yr,my whole left arm will cramp up,from
the shoulder down to my hand. I finally
got sick of it and went back to the doctor
she set me up with the neurologist to have
the nerve test done again. Too my surprise
the doctor told me I don't have carpol
Tunnel or a pinched nerve in my arm. He
only tested just above the elbow. He never
told me what could be causing it, just
prescribed a different medicine than the
800 Mg Ibrofen, because I only took it once
a day,instead of three,witch my script
said to take it if needed,it upset my
stomach so I took other pain relevers. Now
What I'm confused am I was suppose to live
with this the rest of my life? Why did one
test say I had it and his said I didn't?
I'm ready to just cut my arm off and be
done with it. I'm very upset because he
didn't listen to me,and cut me off when I
tried to talk. I want to know what is
wrong because I know it is not normal. Any
help would be appreciated
