Q: car accident and memory loss ??

a few years back i was in a serious car accident where i head butted the windscreen an the pole the car hit, i had slight amnisia after where i didnt no who i was where i was what the date or time was or who the people around me were i got that memory back 10 mins later, i dont remember everything that happend in the accident but ever since then my memory has been really bad with short term stuff, could the accident have caused this?

Yes Mandee, the car accident with head butt could definitely cause memory issues. If you have insurance, I would highly recommend you get a neuropsychological evaluation to measure the extent of damage to the brain. I had a head injury, and the evaluation was very helpful in determining where the damage was and why I have some long term memory issues and very bad short term memory issues.
