I've been having sex for about five or six months now and i just cant feel anything? It doesnt feel bad or good my vagina just feels numb. I have to have my finger on my clit to get any feeling at all. What could be wrong with me?. Could i have a std? Im really embarrassed to go to a docter about this. Please help.

Hi there, thank you for posting your question. My area of expertise is in human sexual dysfunction. I hope I can be of some small help to you.

First of all there is nothing wrong with you and you do not have std. Alright? Lets get that straight for a start. As many as one in five, or perhaps even one in four women get very little pleasure and never orgasm through intercourse alone. For women often,intercourse is not the "main event" that it seems to be for men. With that in mind, communicate with your partner and ensure that your needs are being met.

You said nothing about birth control so this probably does not apply. But both the BC pill and the Marena Coil can interfere with sexual response.
