cant distinguish depresstion from not being interested

User Profile
theres this guy who ive found myself intreged by. he has the good looks that all the girls throw them selves at and the build. but hes "different" hes only had one girlfriend (hes an adult) and has little self confidence and is to himself. however he would start conversations with me. well i found out very recently that the reason for this "differentness" is that he suffers from depresstion. everyone knows it but i guess i never relized how much it made of him.

i just dont know what to do :/ hes once suggested going somewhere togather but it never happened ofcourse. i try not to come on like too much because i know how freaked he gets or what i now relize is prob just lack of motivation.

i want to ask him to go places and want to keep conversation but i cant distinguish the depresstion from just not being interested. I AM A COMPLETE NEWBIE AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS THE RIGHT AND WRONG MOVE HERE. i know i should just be myself and do that but depresstion is a big factor
