Q: Cannot extract tampon

I was the maid of honor in a wedding two days following my medical abortion. At the last minute, I started heavy bleeding again and had already soaked my only pad. The only thing the other bridemaids had available was a tampon so i reluctantly used it. Now I cannot seem to find the string or any evidence of the tampon. I have tried manual extraction, but I am not sure what I am feeling in there.

I am also extremely bloated feeling and have a lot of pressure in my abdomen. I feel the pressure is increasing and not decreasing.

Question: If I go to an emergency clinic, do I have to tell the doctor about my recent abortion? The hospital is a client of my company's and I do not wish to share that information if possible.

Question: If I return to the clinic where the procedure was performed, what should I tell them, how do they find the tampon if it is in there? There is a slim chance I removed it without remembering. Do they use a scope? I just want to know what might happpen.

Thank you.

are you sure you cant lye on your back and relax, and try to find it with your fingers.
if not you have to go to the hospital or clinc. i think they will put you in the position as if your getting a pap smare using those things to open you up.
the clinic of your company should keep your information personal by law.
you should tell them you had an abortion b/c you may be tender inside, or it may explain your bleeding and they wont have to guess what's wrong with you.

A tampon cannot go anywhere. It is either in your vagina or it is not in your body any more. If it is still in you, you will begin to smell it soon. It is always the best to be honest with your health care provider.
