Hi I am 9 weeks clean from recreational cannabis use, I am 19 and I started using the drug recreationally on and off for 4 years from the age of 15.I now feel cloudy in the head and depersonalised and my memory isn't great, will I ever recover from this and feel normal again? If so how long will it take. Also what is concerning me is reading articles telling me of stunted brain development in cannabis users, taking into concideration I am nearing 20 and I intend to never smoke again, can I develop a normal brain? Thank you.

Extremely eHealthy
u r fine and there is nothing wrong with your brain because u smoked pot. and if u feel there is, ok but the truth is u r fine and will be fine
I can introduce u to people who are brilliant and have smoked pot multiple times daily for 50 years.
If this make u fee good, THEN GREAT go on and have a great life, I have smoked truck loads; drink 17 ounces of vodka daily for forty year, take soma which is a muscle relaxer and hydrocodone which is a narcotic and several other not to be discussed and I will sit with u any day u like and we can take an online IQ test. so HERE IS THE PROBLEM; how can I do what u feel is so terrible and do it for ten thousand plus days in a row and still be healthy and have an un-impaired brain?
before I was 18 yrs old I had already take LSD over 200 times and during those few years i took alcohol at least 10 drinks daily, with the pot, and drugs I am sure u never heard of and guess what; still here and still ready and able and willing to take those IQ tests anytime.
SO IF I HAVE NOT MADE THIS ABUNDANTLY CLEAR; stop worrying because u have NOTHING to worry over
SO NOW THAT U DO NOT HAVE ANY LEGIT THING TO BLAME YOUR PROBLEMS ON; can u deal with reality, with your life, girl friend, boy friend, your job, your emotions, your fears?
I hope so but the whimpy amount of pot u inhaled is not now and never will be what stops u in life.
I hope u r able to deal with truisms and if not; well since u r young; THIS WOULD BE THE PERFECT TIME

Good for you. You may not feel 'normal' for a while because your body is learning what 'normal' is, but there is good news about the brain. You can grow your brain at any age.By practicing focusing and learning you can build nueral pathways.
If you are focused on how foggy you feel or on your fear of doing permanant damage, you will only see more things to support these fears.
I would encourage you to decide what you want for your life, clearly picture it and start working and thinking towards that.
This is the perfect time!

Thanks for the support, I have read a report that says that cannabis use during teen years stunts brain development, especially of the myelin sheath around neurons. This is crucial in speeds of processing. As I said, I smoked from 15 to 19 and now coming up to 10 weeks of being clean I still feel depersonalised and weird, like I'm living in a dream. My memory has improved though! This is the article I was worried about: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/ 02/090202175105.htm. I know the study has its flaws but I'm really worried I've fried my brain and not developed a normal brain over my teen years. Please any comments are appreciated.
