In order to describe it, I'll give the account of the lady I know of who had this (a friend of a friend...):

This lady was in a long-term relationship with a guy, and then they split up. A while down the road, she entered a new relationship. In both of these relationships, she was sexually active.

Does anyone know about this condition, and if it has a name, and where I can read more about it? I'm curious because I'm in the same boat, and the gyno office is being incredibly difficult about setting up an appointment...so I'm just trying to learn a little on my own while I'm waiting to be able to see the doc. I've seen a nurse practitioner and a general dr. 5 times now, and they have tested for all stds, etc. and can't figure out what's going on...so I'm getting a little curious.
