if there is a benign tumour of the palate (or in the mouth) is there a chance that it will disappear spontaneously?

(Apologies for hijacking a forum for humans as this is an enquiry about a pet but I thought the situation could be very similar and that there would likely be more information on this forum than on one dedicated to pets -which I have tried before)
