Q: can't get pregnant?

hi i had an paragard iud removed november 17 2008 and i was wanting to know how long does it take to get pregnant i have a period on the 6th of every month and when i try after i get off of it i don't seem top get pregnant and me and my husband have been having sex up to the time my next period starts but still no baby. can you help me or give me some advice on why i can't get pregnant?
