I'm not congested and nothing comes out of my nose when I blow.

I suffered a TBI in June of last year and have had 3 CT scans and one MRI that all showed Acute Sinusitis on the right side. My TBI symptoms recently have gotten worse over the past months and I'm wondering if it could be caused by the Sinusitis getting worse...since the sinuses are so close to the brain. I started taking anti-biotics for the Sinusitis awhile back but I ended up being allergic to them and broke out in a serious rash on my chest. I noticed the symptoms I described started to get better and then suddenly got worse after I stopped taking the anti-biotics. It could have been pure coincidence. Anyways, just trying to get to the bottom of things.

Any help or incite would be great.

Hi, It seems very familiar to what Im going through. Do you remember the day when you got foggy? Can you elaborate on it? Did you have any fever, cold like symptoms? Also do you think it could be related to your head trauma? Or you were getting better after it and before brain for?

trs25,

I'm not really sure when the fog started. Maybe around late October or November? I was getting better from my brain injury and then suddenly it took a turn for the worse. I haven't experienced any fever or cold like symptoms unless I'm actually sick.

It could be related to the head injury, but I'm not really sure. Those symptoms I listed are also symptoms of Post-Concussion Syndrome but I'm just wondering if the Sinusitis is making them worse?

Yes! I have all of those. And as soon as I clean out my sinuses with saline, within 30 seconds the symptoms are GONE!
