Hi, I really need your help.
Because of my divorce, I changed to health individual insurance from the other (which was also individual) this Feb.

This May, my condition was changed suddenly and the doctor told me to have a surgery. Before that, I had some tests and the present insurance company didn't cover because of pre-existing condition.

I had no break of changing insurance, so I requested creditable coverage to the last insurance company.

Can I use creditable coverage for reduce my waiting period, 6 months? Both of the present and the last insurance were individual, not group plans. Also the company hasn't give me an clear answers. I've looked for the way I could have the surgery, but I found out it is the only way that they might cover.

Thank you.

Speak with your benefits representative at your previous and current insurance carriers...by doing so, this should get your situation resolved or at least clarified as to what step(s) you need to take.
