I was on birth Control for a while and missed a week of it and had unprotected sex during that time. I did not take the pills for a while after that. I went to the health department where I live and took a pregnancy test it was positive but she said she was not for sure since the second line was not very dark but it was there. She told me to keep taking the pills.I have been taking them and I stopped. I started my period but it was not normal at all it was very light spotting and only for two days. I usually have my period for 7 days and it is really heavy. The doctor said that when you miss pills between that time you can be pregnant. I am gaining weight! I currently weigh 128 I usually weigh 119. My breasts have gotten bigger and they are very tender. I am also having back pain, and i am restless at night. Can I be pregnant? Can I still be pregnant if I had gotten back on the pill when they told me to and then stopped taking them? I am worried I want to know if there is a possibility.

Stop the pills!
I simply cannot believe that the health department told you to keep taking contraceptive pills after a positive test they should not have done that!.Oh yes and a faint line still means pregnant so you are pregnant. If i were you i would find out this womans name and report her i have honestly never heard of anything like it in my life good luck hope you are ok Smile and please dont take anymore pills until you have taken another test Smile

More info!
Hi i thought i'd better give you a bit more info keep in mind that this is only my opinion and you need to seek more medical advice asap. The few drops of blood you had when you stopped taking the pill was not a true period the drop in hormones that you had when you stopped the pill caused this bleeding to happen. The reason your periods are normally heavy and last 7 days is because your body is shedding your womb lining but as your womb is currently sealed with your baby inside you cannot have a true period. The positive test and the symptoms you are describing make me pretty confident your pregnant and you are going to need some good medical care as soon as possible please let me know if i can help somemore best of luck and take care Smile
