Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The transmission chances are less when you are not having outbreak. Avoid sexual contact (or contact involving exchange of body fluids) when you are having outbreaks. Visit your doctor/healthcare provider or further clarification about treatment and about prophylactic continuation of treatment to reduce the outbreaks. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
