I am 51 and had a heart attack when I was 47. I was wondering if I can donate a kidney or even part of my liver if I ever had the chance to.

Hi,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. Although you had a heart attack but as long as kidney and liver function tests are normal and there is no chronic kidney or liver disease, you can donate part of liver of kidneys. Just keep in mind to get the investigations done to assess their functioning before organ donation.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
