Q: Can gonorrhea remain asymptomatic for over a year?

I haven't had a pap smear for almost 2 years (so no STD tests, only a blood test for HIV, Hep C and B). I also haven't had any symptoms of an STD during this time but due to paranoia I've been worried about gonorrhea. Is there any way for gonorrhea to stay asymptomatic for 1-2 years in a young woman? I've read some conflicting things on the internet and I don't have access to any doctors here. I've read that it's very rare for gonorrhea to stay asymptomatic for a year and I've read that it can remain asymptomatic until you finally get it treated, whether it be immediately or not. My risk is very low but I'm a bit of a hypochondriac Sad
