Hi, I've been with my partner over a year now and we are engaged, he was my first and so was i to him and when I have sex sometimes it's hurts a little when it is being inserted and throughout the intercourse I really don't feel any pleasure I can feel it but it's not like pleasurable how I've heard my friends say it is not that I listen to them or had sex to just do it, I waited till I was ready. So I just wanted to kno like if I may not be aroused to do it or I'm still nervous and not relaxed oh yea and plus I'm on birth control so I should see a Gyn doctor?

Thanks

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
You should consider visiting a gynecologist/obstetrician to get examination done especially to rule out chances of imperforate or thick hymen or vaginal structural anomalies (if you have been having pain/discomfort since the time you became sexually active). Other possibilities include infection, structural anomalies, internal injury, vaginal dryness, mental blocks, probable vaginismus, etc. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance. Get started on treatment as indicated by examination and evaluation/investigation results.
Take care.
