My partner has just been diagnosed with Chlamydia, we have been seeing each other for over twelve months Im certain that he hasn't been with anyone other than myself. I also haven't had any other sexual partners while being with him.
I live in a very humid hot climate and often suffer from urinary tract infections and thrush, which I self medicate and diagnose.
After researching the topic I have found that the symptoms of Chlamydia are similar to those of thrush and urinary tract infections. Is it possible for me to of contracted the infection months before starting our relationship and for the infection to lay dormant and him to only catch it now?

Yes. Chlamydia is sneaky and the majority of men and women does not show any symptoms. That is why STD screenings before a sexual relationship is so important.

Please get yourself tested and treated.

Best of luck!
