I had a tubal ligation in 2006 after my 3rd son. I got remarried and had a tubal reversal March of 2010. I have been trying for a year now and i find out that i'm not ovulating. I heard that sorta normal if your on them for a while, is this true? What could cause me to not ovulate every month??
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Birth control pills usually suppress ovulation. If you have been diagnosed as not ovulating, then try to discuss with your treating doctor about the cause for not ovulating. The causes could be many like poor hormonal secretion from pituitary gland or hypothalamus, malfunctioning pituitary gland, thyroid hormone dysfunction, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), ovarian failure, multiple cysts in ovaries, damage to ovaries, weight loss or anorexia, use of medications, stress, etc.
Once the exact cause is made out, the appropriate treatment can be started to help you get pregnant.
