I have progressive condylar resorption. Pretty much all of my symptoms are with my left TMJ where the disc is displaced and not reducing. My right TMJ disc is also displaced but it reduces. My doctor wanted me to try icing the inside of my mouth, at the top, cheek side of my left upper 2nd molar (all the way in back). The pain that resulted about put me on the ceiling. It felt like nerve pain. When I press the area it is very painful and triggers increased left TMJ pain and some mild left frontal headache. My doc said my tissues were just sensitive. I'm wondering if there is something else going on?
