Take heart ladies HPT are not infallible...with DD I got 3 BFN's until I was past 5 weeks. I had a dream I was pregnant with due date just as I was about to undergo IVF after 2 years unsuccessful ttc. Apart from missed AF I didn't have many symptoms till about week 8 when had sore boobs, cramping & nausea on & off. DH knew (he always know when someone is pregnant) & he's now told me I'm 6-8weeks pregnant again, yet HPT's are all neg. Have had lots of cramping (never get)after a 2 day period, sore nipples, excessive saliva & my mind has checked out!
Have read lots of forums about this & in conclusion have come up with the following:
HPT will be neg if your dehydrated (like 1st thing in morning; have too much HGC (past 12 weeks)or you naturally have low HGC levels (some people never got BFP yet have healthy babies). Go have a blood test or scans...if not pregnant could be a tumour on pituarity gland as can give similar symptons!
Best of luck everyone *baby dust for all*

Hi. I feel like I am going crazy too! Lol. I have never been pregnant before. August 1st 2010 was my last period. My boyfriend lives out of state and the only time I had sex since then was August 8th-15th. I am on bc pills but forgot to take 2 of them that week and took them on seperate days a day or two late. Plus I was on antibiotics for a sinus infection, pharengitus, and allergies. I was suppose to have a period on August 29th, then September 25th and missed both. Suppose to start on Oct.23rd now and nothing. I quit taking pills after I saw him incase. Since that trip I have had Dizzy spells, light nausea with food for a bit but now nausious if I don't eat quick when I get hungry. Headaches(I don't typically get), I'm exausted, gained weight all around and in stomach. I would be right around 3 months right now. Negative home tests and 1 negative blood test a week ago. I have been having light cramping for 4 days. Doesn't hurt bad but no blood. I read it could be your uterus expanding and is normal. I am having some flutters in my stomach I have never felt before. I went for an ultrasound yesterday and they said it looked normal to them but can't explain why I am having all the pregnancy symptoms. They did the vaginal and normal ultrasound too. I have this strong feeling I am pregnant and they missed it. Any feedback? So confused!!! : ) Sorry so long.

The docs always say there is no way they would miss it but I have never missed a period especially not for 3 months basically.

I have never missed a period as well for 3 months but it was all because I was stressing. If you don't have any other symptoms of pregnancy except for a missed period, then you aren't pregnant. It can be stress!

I have had three pregnancy and two successful births. Each time I was told I was not pregnant. I was three months preganant when I found out I was with my first child. I went to the doctor's office and they told me the test was negative. She wrote out me a prescription for birth control. I was not certain her test was correct being that all my life I was skinny and I were a size seven in jeans and all of a sudden I could not button them up or zip them. The night before I went to the doctor's office my boyfriend witness a spot in my stomach raise completely up about two inches above the rest of stomach and remained elevated for two minutes. Anyway skeptical of the results I went back the next morning and requested that they test me again and sure enough I was pregnant.

My second pregnancy was unplanned however I knew something was wrong. I did not have the same symptoms as my first pregnancy. I took pregnancy test and being that my urine did not possess the pregnancy harmone I had to have a blood test. I was pregnant.

The third pregnancy I was not so lucky. I had home pregnancy tests that were showing negative results. I had urine and blood tests that showed negative results. It was not until I miscarried and was sent in for an emergency ultrasound that I found out that I was pregnant and the baby had died.

Sorry, tomika_woods, about your baby.
Sorry, ashleyjenkins91, but doctors can talk positively to their patients (because they feel they are supposed to)...and have no way of knowing what they missed. It is usually not untill "something" happens that they admit they missed "it"... and not just in cases of pregnancies either. They "blindly" trust their diagnostic tests way too much. Only in movies, are doctors honest enough to second guess a diagnostic test. (Ever watch "House"? How often do they second guess themselves untill they find what is REALLY wrong?)
My advise to you would be: live as though you are pregnant untill YOU have irrefutible evidence otherwise.

I couldn't believe what I was reading when I found this during my search for answers! I had my tubes tied 4 years ago. I just got the results of a vaginal ultrasound telling me everything was normal yet my last period was spotting for 2 1/2 days and 4 days later I began getting pregnancy symptoms-nausea, constipation, frequent urination, dull aching pain low in my abdomen, Swollen tender Breasts along with a clear fuid leaking out, and low back pain. My symptoms will be gone for a couple days and then back for a couple or a few. I took 3 HPT's all were negative. The Dr says I'm not pregnant but I'm having all the symptoms and more that I had when I was pregnant before. When they called me today with the results I asked what could be causing my symptoms then? They didn't give me an answer and told me to call in a week if the symptoms don't go away. I'm so glad I'm not the only one out there having these issues!

Joining in the confusion
Hello ladies,

I am in the same situation. I was positive I was pregnant in August...I had all the symptoms (tender breasts, nausea, cramping etc) and then my cycle came, though it came down "funny" is the only way to describe it. But I accepted it and went about my business, I drank on occasion and did not think for a second I might be carrying a child.

September came and my cycle showed up on time on the 17th (I am between 27/28 days long). Then I was thinking about planning a trip back home to California early next year and I wanted to chart my cycles so I didn't travel on those days ya know? So I am waiting for my cycle to appear in October...one day late...two days....10 days. It never showed up and I was completely at a loss because I have never ever missed a period, been that late or anything. So I went back to august and counted, If I was pregnant I would today be 15 weeks 1 day along. Around the "14th" week I started feeling slight flutters in my uterus...so slight I didn't know what to think. Then as the days went by the fluttering became more frequent and stronger, I also felt like something was rolling around in my tummy. This was noticeable at different times in the day, and especially after I ate something sweet.

In addition to that I started to get back pains that would come and go, my pelvis feels like a pressure is moving it out of place, my areolas have darkened, my stomach feels like its stretching out of place and I have AF like cramps on and off. I went online to search what could this be...all the symptoms I am experiencing are screaming "pregnant" but urine tests and blood tests are coming back neg.

I however was convinced; I even told select family and friends I was sure I was pregnant. I thought if I could just get the ER to give me a dang Ultrasound they would see the baby...so last night after my sister called me "crazy" when I told her I was pregnant but was testing negative I ran out the house to the ER. I couldn't take it anymore and I felt like I was losing my mind seriously. The doctor told me when a pitying expression on his face that I was not pregnant because their urine test came back neg and they needed to do a CT scan to see what was wrong...I refused and said I did not want to potentially harm my baby if I pregnant. I asked him what could cause the movement/fluttering I felt in my stomach and he said with a straight face "Intestines". Intestines? Really...I mean I didn't know that your intestines could cause a fluttering in your uterus/tummy with moving like a baby is rolling around. On a consistent bases...out the blue? I felt like they were looking at me like a crazy fool who was desperately imagining a baby. I had thought I was not pregnant! I drank in the last 3 months margaritas and even a whole bottle of wine! If I thought there was even a change I was pregnant I would never have done that. So to my relief the doctor ordered a trans vaginal ultrasound and I thought ha! NOW they will see the baby I feel moving around inside of me and I will be ejected from the "crazy/delusional" club I knew they had put me in.

During the Ultrasound the technician was not there to look for a fetus (the doctor told me this beforehand) ...but to take pictures of my ovaries etc. to see what could be causing the "pelvis pain" I had lied about to get seen in the ER. Afterward the doctor came in and told me I had cysts on my ovaries but that it was not uncommon in females of menstruation age and they usually formed after a menstrual cycle. And he said...and I quote "This would not stop your cycle from coming, and would be a symptom of it not coming rather than the cause." He also informed me they saw no baby in the photos taken during the ultrasound and sent me home after I still refused a CT scan.

So where am I now? Still not getting my cycle...still feeling movement in my tummy and the medical staff at local ER thinking I need mental help surely. I am depressed but trying not to it bring me down. If I am not pregnant, fine, I just want to know WHAT is wrong with me. But to ignore these things going on within me would be crazy. I am at a loss and quite embarrassed that I have told people I am pregnant, I mean what do you say to them now? How do you deal with not knowing what is wrong with you? I live in America where there is no free health insurance, so I don't have the option of going to the Gyno. Please keep me in your prayers ladies and I will keep you updated if there is any change.

Our prayers are with you ladies who are new to this forum.

I am so positive I was pregnant! I had contractions off and on for two months (from the beginning of September) ...beginning at the appropriate time for any pregnancy. I was in high hopes that one of the times would birth the baby that I knew was there.
Then this past Saturday, in the very early morning hours, Something awoke me and I realized the baby had just died and its little soul had passed. It was so very real. I have not felt ANY movement since then. This is TOTALLY different then when the baby would just be resting for hours. The term "dead silence" applies. I did not know what to do ...I had studied up on birthing and was all prepared to care for this child... now what? I have to admit I did get mad at God temporarily... but I apologized to Him because I know God REALLY does care about us and in His time He will reveal His perfect plan.
Then last night, I did go to the ER to have the baby's body removed. The young doctor and staff were kind... but I too am now on the "need mental help" list in their mind. The doctor did a cursory ultrasound in exactly the same area the previous ones were done and a blood test. Saw nothing and sent me home. I am to get with my p.c.p. to get a CT Scan done... (I might do that now since the baby definitely is dead). She said the problem may be in the G.I. tract... but that could NOT explain the contractions. Besides the baby's body is still inside ...God help us all.

hi , i'd like to know when to expect my next cycle. i just had one on jan.21,2011 and im not sure when to expect my next one. would it be this month, on the exact same date? im really anxious to know because i've been intimate since my period stopped . and maybe one day while on my cycle . and i need to know when to expect my next one just incase i miss my period becuase i might be pregnant. & i think i seriously may be . i got my implanon removed dec.13, 2010 of last month and i've been having unprotected sex everyday since that day. it took me a moth to finally get my period. but when i did get it , it only lasted 5 days. usually it last a whole week . i went to the docter while on my period to get a pelvic exam and a vaginal ultra sound & they drew blood. it came back negetive. could it be becuase i was on my period that they couldnt tell or ? is it because i have to have my period before trying to concieve?
any advice or answers? please respond asap .
thank you babyqirl <3

I must be just as crazy. I know that there has to be something going on in my body since august when i first did it. I got an ultrasound done at what I though would be about 2 months maybe and the doctor said she didn't see a baby but she wouldn't even take my complaints seriously. I tried to let it go but then I started to feel what I thought was just gas but does gas move when you push on it or at specific times of day? Deep down in my heart I really believe there is a child in me but when all the tests came back negative everyone just had more reason not to believe me. I knwo my body and I know something strange is going on because this stuff has never happened to me. I'm very fustrated and are just waiting it out to see what happens. If I am pregnant I would be due in May so I'll wait to see what happens around then and pray. I don't know what to and am becoming depressed. Anyone else in the same boat?

Hi Guys:
I am from the West Indies (Caribbean)and for the past seven months my belly is growing. I have taken several tests urine and one blood test and all were negative. I have all the signs and symptoms of being pregnant: Itchy swollen breast, severe back pains, cravings and even movements. i have done several ultrasounds (internal and external) and everything is normal, no fibroid, no cyst, no cancer. I went to two gynae and was told the exact same thing. One doc told me that i need a to see a psychiatrist and the other told me as a doctor he cant say I'm pregnant but he cannot stop me from believing what i believe. so my question to him is what is causing the belly to grow that he could not answer all he could say is that i have poly cystic ovaries and women with this tend to have this problem i.e. all the signs and symptoms of being pregnant but no baby. so i asked him why am i felling movements and his answer was your bowels are in the same area so i am feeling bowel movements. I was at a total lost as to what to think or do. Because of the same back problem i had with my first pregnancy i went to a chiropractor who strongly believe that i am because of the pain that i am having is related to pregnancy. Then i did more research and found you guys.

My question to you is what should i do. Is there any other test that can give me any answer; should i just prepare myself to deliver a baby at the end of nine months what advice can you give me.

Many thanks
caribgyal

THIS DOES HAPPEN!!
I want to tell you that THIS IS POSSIBLE!! I had a miscarriage in january, and I have the ultrasounds to prove I was pregnant with twins-they couldnt find the one small sac and the other was empty-went back in a few weeks later and they said they thought I was pregnant again, but it was too early to tell, I went back for a ultrasound this past week-I CAN PROVE I AM 16 WEEKS PREGNANT AND IT WAS ONE OF THE TWINS HIDING IN MY RIBS!!!! I am measuring 18, I have gained a total of 7 lbs, and again I can actually prove that this happened! So women who think this is happening keep getting it checked because this can happen, I am proof!!!
