Can a cold or flu cause an exacerbation of MS?

I had Hodgkin's Disease when I was 22 yrs old. It originated in the Thymus. When mine was supposed to shrink in puberty it went haywire instead I guess. Turned into a large tumor and had it removed therefore the dx of Hodgkin's. Could this be a contributing factor in the development of MS?
