Q: CAN A BLOOD TEST TELL IF A PERSON HAS LIVER PROBLEMS?

I'm a 43 year old male (vegetarian), weight 268lbs.. recently got my blood test results back and found out that i have high cholesterol and some other adnormalities in my blood...i would like to add that when i went for the blood test on a monday i was tire and had a minor hang over because i had drank alcohol the prior friday and saturday, didnt sleep on friday and drank all kinds of energy drinks on sunday...did the heavy party had anything to do with my blood results? also can someone please tell me how bad i look according to my results the p/a told me a had animia and have tyroid issues and that i might have liver problems...she wants me to take more blood test now for hepatitis, tyroid, hiv1 & hiv2...liver xrays and a couple other things i dont remeber...i am thinking going to another clinic to take the test againi but this time i will be rested and clean, also i will lose weight and follow a strict diet and exercise and hopefully the results be much better.

please everyone give me your sugestions and advice i have never been sick in my life "thank god"...and dont know how to confront my health issues.

I doubt that two days of unhealthy behavior could alter your bloodwork. Also, you don't want to 'cram' for a blood test. You want to get a true indication of your health, not what your health might be like if you lost a few pounds. If you put the weight back on you're back where you started. Continue on with the recommended tests and follow the doctor's advice on how to improve your health issues.
