Hi All

I'm a caffeine addicted, have been most of my life 14 onwards anyway.
Usually i'd realise i was drinking to much, but lately i have been drinking 4 or 5 cups a day and thought that was ok, but if i ever missed a day, like if i was out all day the next day i would be out of it, bad migraine and sickness.
So 2 weeks ago i went cold turkey, and OMFG i have been sooooooo ill. I've had this constant headache that pills will not even touch, i'm so tired, irritable and generally not well. So this morning i have drunk 3 cups in 2 hours and i'm starting to feel human again, headache still there in the back ground but i just feel so much better.

Now, i have looked at every caffeine addiction website and it all says that after a few days symptoms should go, but mine have lasted 14 days already and seem to be getting worse. Anyone have any advice or help, or even experienced the same thing?

Roly

Between my husband and I, we drink 8 24 oz. bottles of Diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew a day....We have done this for years...I believe I alone solely started and funded the Diet Pepsi company...I love it...If it gives me a high, then so goes life...I have drank it since it came out...It keeps my weight down and I love it...I have talked to the doctor about this and found out that it does not bring my blood pressure up nor cause damage to me...I don't drink it after 6 P.M. at night in case it keeps me awake...However, if I am going to be up late writing I will have a bottle as nothing will keep me from sleeping at that point...I love chocolate, but I stay away from it...This will raise my blood pressure...I am not a health nut, but I am wise to the ways of eating...I guess I feel why give up something that I just love?....So I don't.....

I once did a thread on it that I can't find now...One of the posters added to it that science had learned that it helps your sex life....Here I will agree... Razz

I can appreciate what you are saying, but doesn't this include near our entire population?....

I do want to add that we always have the same amount of water each day...This is very necessary for your body...Most of the times I limit my intake to 3 bottles a day...I don't get up until 9:30 and need a couple cups of decaffinated coffee to start the day...

We are both here to help...I state my facts of life and you state yours...Neither of us may be right, however we have both talked our talk...
