I have recently started taking Busiprone for anxiety and the doctor started me out on 5 1/2 mg 2x/day this was 1 wk 1/2 ago. I took as he directed and immediately started feeling nausea and dizziness and felt pretty bad like I had the flu.
I called my doctor after 3 days of taking the medicine and he said to cut it back to 1 5 mg 2x/day and aid maybe my body needed to adjust slower. I tried that dosage and I feel the same way which made my anxiety level go up from the effects.
When I asked the pharmacist and the doctor if these were side effects of the medicine they both said that anything is possible but most people don't even know they are taking Busiprone. If that is the case I feel like something more is terribly wrong with me and since Idon't have a fever I ruled out the flu.
My doctor intially took me off of Sertraline after he cut back my doseage from 100 mg to 50mg for one week prior to taking Busiprone and I started feeling like this after the first week of coming off of Sertraline. I am also getting chills one minute and sweating the next.
I hope someone can relate to what I'm explaining? After talking to the dr and the pharm I feel like I am really a hypocondriact and feel guilty even calling them now.
I have an appointment with my dr tomorrow morning at his request after I called his office today and tried to explain to the nurse what my problem is and he was out but told the nurse that I had to come in tomorrow morning and she sounded like he may be upset with me.
Can someone make me feel like I have a real issue here if they have themselves been throughthis so my anxiety level will go down.
P.S. I am not a person who is use to taking meds and feel that I am being treated like I'm blowing things out of proportion.
Thank You for listening to me.
