experiencing severe burning with pain on right shoulder, having found 7 bumps, 3 in front and 4 on back and top of shoulder. the burning pain is sporatic and last approx. 1 minute. have not found any bumps any where. there is no itching involved and the bumps don't seem to have a center (bite or fluid filled). not having felt being bitten or stung.

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

It is difficult to diagnose the cause of the bite, without a direct examination and additional ‎history. ‎

But it does seem that you have a inflammatory reaction to the bite. ‎

You can apply cold packs to the affected area and it should reduce the redness and soreness. In ‎addition Ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin) can be taken for a few days, that will help in early healing ‎and also relieve symptoms sooner. ‎

In case the symptoms get worse or do not get better in 2-3 days, then consulting a doctor for ‎prescription of a course of antibiotics to treat any local infection might be essential. ‎
