Q: Burning sensations in the head.
asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 9th, 2008
I have this burning sensation in my head towards the back above the neck, on the top, on the sides sometimes. I have had it happening for years, but it is more in the past week. Sometimes happening half a dozen times in an hour (I'm guessing how often, I'll have to track it better). Why could this be happening? Is it something to be concerned about?

Burning sensations in your head could be due to a skin disorder. You may want to visit your GP to check the skin on your head. If the skin is clear and has no lesions, that burning sensation could be due to anxiety.
