Q: burning sensation - yeast infection ?

For the past month or so I've been really itchy and have had a lot of white/yellowish discharge. I also sometimes have a burning sensation and sex is very uncomfortable and painful for me.. it's very hard for me to get wet and it burns during and especially after sex. Also once in awhile, maybe 2 or 3 times a week, it feels as though I have a UTI (pressure and feeling like I have to pee every second! then not going hardly at all). Are symptoms of a UTI common when you have a yeast infection? I've never had one before so I'm not even sure if that's what I have.. Last week I started taking pills I bought for a yeast infection assuming that was what was wrong and it seems to make the discharge even worse but did help with the itching and burning. I stopped taking them due to the increase in discharge and started taking cranberry pills which helped with the feeling of a UTI. Should I schedule an appointment with my doctor to see if it is a yeast infection or should I get tested to see if it's an STD?

Also during sex I "leave behind" a lottt of white discharge, kind of milky and sometimes in little sticky clumps.. it is SO embarrassing!

you should go to walmart and get a yeast infection cleaner, but If your not sure you should consult your doctor before you do.
