Where is the pain specifically? Is it up high under the sternum (the hollow between the ribs and under the breasts)? Is it down lower toward the belly button? If it is up high then that suggests the stomach and I would think possible gastric ulcer. Go to your doctor. A doctor can run some tests and tell you if this is an ulcer. I don't have any other ideas without more info. Hope this helps.

It could be from muscle strain. Sometimes gas pains can present with a burning, cutting sensation. Pain tells you something is wrong. Is there any bulging in the abdomen in that area? Does the pain feel superficial or is it deeper? Is it in the center of your abdomen or to one side? There are many possibilities for abdominal pain. If it persists you need to see your doctor. I can try to offer you suggestions on a possible problem but it is not possible for me to offer you a diagnosis. Your doctor has to do that. I will be happy to answer more questions.

This almost sounds like gastroenteritis, the fancy clinical name for stomach flu. It is usually viral and self limiting.
If this persists go see a doctor. Gut pain can signal troubles from within that need a doctor's attention.
