My 8 year old son has been complaining and crying at times with burning like pains around the inside of his belly button and if I push in on this area it is painful for him. The only thing that seems to make it feel better is heat like a heating pad or soaking in hot/warm water. This has been going on for 4 days. It is not a constant pain it is mainly worse in the evening and at night. What could cause this?
Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!
The pain can be due to a boil, abscess or fistula underneath. It can also be due to appendicitis or gas. Please take your son to his doctor or ER and get this investigated. Take care!
