I'm 25 and recently started a new relationship. I was diagnosed with bv after I experience a burning sensation in my vagina. I took the medicine for the week and the symptoms went away. I began to have sex with my boyfriend again and after several days the symptoms came back. I went to the doctor again and was diagnosed with bv again. I took the medicine like before and the symptoms went away again, however I had sex with him on the last day of my treatment and shortly after that the burning came back.. I am so worried that something is the matter with me, the burning always gets worse as the day progresses and I think that I am being paranoid, should I go back to the doctor to treat this again, they said that I didn't have any std's and that sometimes it clears up on its own but it has been almost a week and a half and the burning is still there. What do you think?

Do you go to the bathroom before and after sex?
That can help prevent infections.

I don't regularly...does that help keep those conditions at bay? I thought that it was supposed to prevent uti's only.
