Q: Burning feet

A year ago I had a broken condom incident with a girl I met in a club in S. America. I had burning in the urethra for which doxycycline worked (treated after 3 weeks of symptoms). I was very very stressed about the incident and about 4 weeks after the incident my left foot felt a little strange when I walked as if I almost had a small lump on the sole (but did not of course). Over the course of 3-4 weeks my left foot started burning which then moved to my right foot and then my legs to the top of my thighs feel a sensitive sort of pain but only when wearing pants. My feet also only feel burning when wearing shoes and socks. If everything is uncovered I feel ok.
Basic blood work for tsh, sed rate, glucose, BUN, Creatinine, GFR, Sodium,Potassium,Chloride,CO2,Calcium,Prot ein,Albumin,Globulin,Bilirubin ,alkaline phosphatase, AST,ALT, Vit B12, and folate were all NORMAL. ALL STD's up to 6 months after the incident were also negative so I cannot think why I am getting these symptoms as I am an otherwise very healthy 34 year old.
What other tests can I get (if any) and do you have any ideas what this could be. I am not stressed right now (except about the symptoms) so find it a little hard to believe that stress can cause these symptoms.

Neurologist just said it was sensory neuropathy of unknown cause!!!!!

Any ideas?

Extremely eHealthy
Has the doctor tested you for any types of parasitic infections? You may have been exposed to something while in S. America. Some parasites will attach to large muscles, like the quadriceps. Perhaps seeing an infection control specialist would reveal something.

No he did not mention these but I have come to a similar conclusion that one of these maybe possible. But there is no cure for these right?

There's some medications, patches to elevate the pain with these conditions. Also if you are under a lot of (like most people) it will make the condition worse.
