Q: Bumps on arms and stomach

My daughter, who is four years old, started getting these strange bumps on her arms and stomach about a year ago. At the start, she only had one or two at a time. When I asked her pediatrician about them, she said they were just warts and that she was too young to have them frozen off.

Those bumps disappeared, but were quickly followed by a LOT more. Currently she has 4 or 5 of them on the inside of her arm, several on the side of her stomach, and more and more keep popping up.

These bumps look almost like pimples but do not have a "head" I have pictures but am not sure if there is any way to post them here,as I am VERY new.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry no one got back to you. I'm at a loss to say exactly what it is. Since it's in such confined locations, it probably rules out eczema, though you could try changing to a different laundry detergent.

Another idea I have is insect bites. There could be something in her room/in your house that is attacking her. If they haven't bitten you, remember that some bugs are more attracted to some people more than others. Location might have to do with it too.

As far as any other kind of rash, it's really something your doctor will have to look at. I would highly doubt that it is warts: they usually don't show up like that.

You might want to take her to a dermatologist or even an allergist to determine the cause.
