Hey there!
I was traveling in Thailand and beaching it every day (wearing sunscreen) and one day I noticed on my left arm, on the outside of the elbow sort of area, was a bump. It was small, reddish but skin-colored, and shiny. It appeared almost as a pimple of some kind. It didn't go away for weeks, and so when I was back in the US I went to a dermatologist; she cut it off and set it away for a biopsy, and when the results came back, she said "we don't know what it is". Good, I guess, as that means it wasn't cancerous, but still...unknown bump?

Just last week I noticed the SAME bump, this time on my left wrist. Small, skin-colored bump with a hint of reddish coloring, which is somewhat shiny. It doesn't hurt, itch or cause any discomfort at all. Doesn't seem to get bigger or smaller, it just is THERE.

Then today I noticed MORE bumps- these on the ring finger and pinky of my left hand. The ones on my pinky appear to be TWO bumps together, while the one on my ringfinger is singular, like the one on my wrist. They don't hurt, itch or anything else. They're very strange.

I have NO idea what these are. They don't seem like warts, they don't pop or have pus like pimples, they don't go away like heat rash, they don't hurt, they don't itch (like bug bites or plants like poison ivy, etc) and they don't seem to go away.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has IDEAS. Maybe thoughts as to what they COULD be, and how to get rid of them. Where the dermatologist cut the first one off has left a scar, so I'm looking for other options, but will consider anything...

Thanks! Smile

bumps on arm / hard / don't go away
Hi, I have something similar, but have never been to Thailand.
Bump on back of arm. Doesn't go away. Months later, 2 similar bumps on back of head.
The bumps do not hurt or itch now. But they did bother me for a few days when they first appeared.
Bumps are normal skin color. Hard.
First few days they seemed like pimples, even the scratching broke off the top. But then it never goes away and it turns hard.

I was suspicious of a possible spider bite -- I deliver the mail and there have been spiders on every one of the hundreds of mailboxes I deliver to all summer.

But now I doubt the spider bite theory.

Hi there,

I think I have the same thing, and I am trying to find out what they are. I have had one bump for more than a year on the side of the second phalange nuckle, left ring finger. A few weeks ago two new bumps have emerged next to it... When i noticed the first one, it didnt seem as though it had a 'head' as such, but the newest one, when i look with a light against it, there is a perfectly round crater-looking dip, but still no head like one of a pimple. All I can gether is that it spreads to the surrounding skin, but that is all.

Will probably go to the dermatologist soon too.

I recently had the same thing-- did you guys figure out what it was? I'm worried it's bed bugs but they don't itch. I had two a few days ago and now a few more have appeared in my fingers. Ugh!

Hey everyone,

The dermatologist diagnosed mine as Granuloma Annulare, a localised autoimmunological reaction to the skin
