Bumps in the vaginal area and burning..
Posted: 06-06-08 10:56am

So I'm 18 years old and Ive never had any form of sex until my current boyfriend. We havn't actually had sex yet but there is the oral and umm.. finger satisfaction lol. but anyways... i noticed a few days ago that right below my actual vaginal opening there was a sore spot like it had been cut or some sort of rash or skin exposed (like it had been rubbed raw or something) and it burns when urine falls on it when i urinate like to the point i want to cry kind pain.. Then the next day after i discovered this i noticed two bumps by the area that are also very sore if touched. And today i found two more bumps further up. One was in a spot where i could see and it looked like it had a small hole opening and when i presses on it puss came out. Im not sure if the other ones are really puss filled because i can not really see them... Ive already decided I wasn't going to let anything happen as far as any kind of pleasurable things down there until this cleared up because i dont want it to get worse by being touched or rubbed. I was alittle worried about what this could be.. could it be a yeast infection of some sort or some kind of bacterial infection and what should i do about it other then go to a doctor? I just dont really have the money to go to the doctor right now because i am 18 and living on my own so i do not have any extra money what so ever and i do not have insurance so the doctor is kinda out of the question.. so please help me! Whats should i do and any ideas what this could be?!? Thank you! Smile

I would suggest going to a planned parenthood or something to get it checked out. Call ahead and see what they would charge you, they often times offer a sliding fee type of thing, so you might get it for almost nothing.

At first I thought it could just be irritation from fingering (which can happen really easily- use lubricant!!) but if there are bumps, that usually indicates something else... perhaps an std? Even if your boyfriend doesn't know he has an STD, he might. It doesn't sound like a yeast infection or bacterial infection, those don't usually have any sort of rash.

I agree, go to planned parenthood or a similar clinic. Planned parenthood will offer free insurance cards for gynecological health for people your age if you are a student or in a low income job. All you have to do is show them your birth certificate, SS card, and proof of your income and/or proof of going to school. Then you can get free check ups, birth control, and other gynecological needs.

I really would get it checked out if there are bumps. I agree with Georgia; bumps filled with puss aren't usually signs of a yeast/bacterial infection.

A doctor would know for sure what it is and be able to provide you medication (if needed) to clear it up. Until then there are some things you can do to releive the pain. I have herpes and they can be extremely painful.

Soak in a tub with 1/2-1 cup of baking soda. The baking soda will ease the pain and itcing and keep the rash/sores clean. The baking soda may also speed up healing. Its completely safe.

You can get STD's from oral sex. I know you can get herpes this way, but Im not to sure on what other STD;s can be orally transmitted. Most people dont know they have oral herpes and during oral sex they can pass it on as genital herpes. I dont mean to scare you. Only a doctor would know if you have an STD. But try not to touch or itch yourself. I know its hard, but the baths could help with the irritation. Best wishes...pm me anytime
