Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

If you never had sex or sexual activity then of course the bumps is due to a non STD cause. The smell could either be due to thrush or bacterial vaginosis. A fishy odor that is felt most after sex or masturbation or washing with soap goes in favor of bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is usually caused by Gardnerella vaginalis bacteria. It is not clear how the infection comes. It's not thought to be a STD. Treatment is usually by antibiotics.

Diagnosis is generally by a wet mount slide showing the presence of ‘clue cells’. Generally it is treated by metronidazole. After this course of metronidazole the smell usually goes away.

Thrush is treated by antifungals by both local application and oral tablets. The other possibilities are allergy to something that came in contact with this area like soap, power, undergarments etc. Atopic dermatitis and some forms of eczema too can cause these symptoms.

It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining the lesions. Discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist. Hope this helps. Take care!
