Q: bump under left ear

i have a bump under my left ear. It only bothers me every once in a while. it does hurt. its just...irritating. its hard to explain. it just feels like theres pressure behind my ear.Its been there for years and i dont know what it is. i asked my doctor bout it once when i was in there for a check up, and she just told me that shes not a throat or ear doctor. (ridicuous huh?)
