Q: Bump or Cyst on Uvula

I have a very small bump (cyst, wart?) on my uvula that's been there for 6 weeks. I'd say it's almost "clear" in color. It's not specifically painful, but I also have an irritated, red, somewhat scratchy throat - but not really sore. Sometimes I get a tickle and I have to cough -- it feels like there's a hair back there. Also, I've noticed post-nasal 'dripping' lately down the back of my throat.

I used to drink wine most days, but have since cut back. I'm not sure if that's related. I don't smoke. I don't have insurance but plan to see at least a dentist soon to ask about it. But how long can I wait this out to see if it goes away? Any advice on getting it to heal?
