bump on top of left testicle

i found a bump on the top of my left testicle today. it's small, almost pointy. smaller than a bb though.

this has made me very worried. i can't stress that enough.

i do not have insurance. i was turned down last time i applied because of drinking abuse in my doctors records. i quit drinking more than a year ago, but have not taken time to get reinsured or clear that up.

i stay very busy, i take my life very seriously. i am an artist and i've worked my entire life to get where i am now. i can't cope with the thought of this.

can someone suggest what to do? what if a doctor finds this to need surgery or is cancer?
should i try to get insured before i see a doctor?

other problems i have had. perhaps you should know about them... i've been in and out of a knee brace the last 3 months. i wasn't eating right and had lost a lot of weight. i wasn't eating right because of indigestion that i take prilosec for. my knees had been getting better until i rode my bike.
