I've had a slightly discolored area on my lower lip for atleast 8 years (I'm 23 now). As of lately, the area of discoloration appears darker. When I press on it it causes discomfort, and I can feel a small, but noticable circular hard mass. The area of dicoloration is dark pink/purple in color. Should I be concerned?

Extremely eHealthy
Oral cancers usually grow very fast.
So, I don't think you should be concerned about something serious as a cancer is.
The presence of this lump for a long period of 8 years indicates a benign process.
This could be some blood vessel abnormal formation or benign tumor.

Check this with your physician or dentist!
Best wishes!
