Bump at entrance to anus

i have a pea size bump at the entrance to my anus,it doesn\\\"t hurt.i am 48 yrs old and have never had a colon pollyp exam done,should i be concerned?it has been like this for 3 days

Without examining the lump, it is difficult to comment what it is. Here is a list of possibilities of what it could be. The lump could be a prolapsed hemorrhoid, a skin tag, a benign rectal tumor, a rectal polyp, a rectal abscess, genital wart or a hematoma.

Since it is not painful it is not likely to be an abscess. Please consult your doctor for confirmed diagnosis. Hope this helps. Take care!
