I have suffered from bulimia for about 6-7 years now . No one knows but my best friend who i told about 4 years ago but she does not talk about it and thinks I have over come it . I don’t want help from a doctor because I don’t want to have the condition on my medical record. I am doing my nursing training and don’t know if this will affect my training or future jobs ? I found out they refer patients to a psychologist , and I don’t want to talk about my condition. I want help but don’t want to seek advice from my GP. I don’t want to tell my family or other friends because I want to deal with it in my own way , without anyone looking over my shoulder all the time . Where can I get help from ?? I have come to realise this disorder is ruining my life now , I purge at least once a day, sometimes up to 7 times a day , but I just cant help my self . I have suffered from sever lower abdominal pain for the last few weeks, which are on and off . Am starting to worry I have done long term damage to my body and mind . Please Help

I am a Doctor
dON'T LET THIS MATTER GO ON YOU'RE MEDICAL RECORD - YOU'LL NEVER SHAKE IT OFF EVEN FIVE OR TEN YEARS LATER!!! IT'S MORE OF A PSYCHOLOGICAL COMPLAINT THAN A MEDICAL DISEASE. GET HELP BUT GET IT PRIVATELY - TRY A HYPNOTHERAPIST, OR TELL A FRIEND AND ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE SUPERVISED EVERYDAY - ITS YOU'RE ILLNESS- IT WILL ONLY BE DEFEATED IF YOU WANT IT TO BE. ANNA
