hey girls, i know what use r talking about. ive been bulimic for years now.
Emyeve- as hard as it is with ur girls you need to think what is best for you. You cant care for your girl if you cant care for yourself.
personally i found inpatient therapy very useful- I was in there for over 2 months i found it hard and pointless at the time.but it was very effective. PS you will be closly monitored on a fluid and food chart. If you dont eat for a couple of days you get a tube fed(worst feeling ever) and if you dont drink you go on a drip. Its hard but it helped me get my habbits back.
Even if you just saw a psychologist once a week might help... there are a few things i found on the net that are self help programs- they work for some and not others. means that you could still look after your girl
I find that going for a walk in the mornings helped alot. you could take your girl to the park or just for a walk- made me feel like i was doing something about my weight. Also make sure you are drinking lots of water throuhout the day. it helps you feel full..well it does for me.
Also remember that skipping meals encourages a binge. This is because your body gies into starvation mode. When your body is given food it asks for more and more because it looses its ability to know when it will recieve food. So it asks for more incase you dont give it enough to fuel normal body processes.
keep yourself busy, use relaxation techniques and remember no one is perfect. we are all beautiful unique people. Be patient, hang in there get some supports!
