I have recently noticed some mornings when I just wake up that I have something bulging from by abdominal area, a little on the left side. It is kind of large, does not hurt, but when I get out of bed and try to lay down again to feel it, it goes away. I originally thought it was a tumor (cause I am a hypochondriac) but when I noticed it dissapearing I figured, well a tumor won't dissapear. Could this be a hernia? At first I thought it was a gas bubble, but it's always in the same area.

Hernia
It does sound as if you could have a hernia. You should go to your family doctor for a check-up and bring this to his/her attention. If it is a hernia, please locate a surgeon who is able to repair it with out mesh, there are a growing number of people who are suffering from these mesh implants. The FDA does know that these mesh products are of a concern, but they are afraid to do anything about it and have been trying to cover it up.. Depending on where you live, I may be able to put you in touch with a premium surgeon that has been helping many of us, with complications from mesh surgery.
Good Luck

large swollen bulge in abdomen
my wife has had 2 surgeries last summer and fall , vertical incisions spaced 3-4" apart and now after 4-5 months her stomach is bulging out as if she is 5-6 months pregnant she's 57 yrs old]. It is very hard to the touch and make her uncomfortable but more to the point she is worrying a great deal as to what the problem is..She was in the hospital for 2 weeks in February but was released with no diagnosis just prescribed pills for stomach spasms. She is lined up now with a gastro specialist next week .Things have gone painfully slow in her getting the treatment she should .. Any information would be appreciated ..Thanks andy

I'm having the same issue
Any word on the outcome? I was told just diastasis recti from carrying twins and an 11-lb child. But I don't read anything about this kind of bulge when I look up diastasis recti.
