Q: Bulemia and HIV infection after oral sex
asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 18th, 2008
I am a bulimic and i throw up food a lot and i am working on this to stop it. yet i had unprotected oral sex (cunnilingus) with a sex worker on the same day i had thrown up and i had been throwing up the days before.

meaning there is a possibility that the stomach acid could have caused sores or rawness in the mouth and throat. i dont know

I know I have to wait 6 months to be sure and get tested.

but what do you think are the chances of a bulimic catching aids from cunnilingus?

thanks

Frequent vomiting can cause erosions and inflammation in your mouth, throat, and esophagus. So the chances for getting HIV-infection through unprotected oral sex are better in bulimic men than otherwise. You should take an HIV-test now and another one after 6 months.
