Jackie, you must start having faith and beliving in your self. You have to work on loving and respecting yourself before you can EVER have a successful healthy relationship with ANYONE. You are not alone, there are numerous help lines, counselors, youth groups, youth activists, maybe even a family member that can help you. It doesnt change overnight - but you have to start holding your head up and smiling. This is your life and you desrve to love yourself and be happy. It took me almost 20 years to figure that out for myself. Live healthy, stay out of drama, stay away from drugs and other unhealthy activities. Find a support group - there are millions - even online there are millions of suppiort groups. You are not alone.

of course its going to be hard!! when i was your age i was in a similar hospital called st marys in Illinois. Im 30 now and i dont even remember what happend there. I was there because i was deemed a 'bad kid' and my parents didnt want to take care of me so they ward me to the state. I was shuffled from foster home to foster home and then id run away and get caught and go to juvie and then back to group homes or foster homes. I had low self confidence because my family was very poor, and we did not live in a healthy enviroment. i did drugs and hung out with the wrong people because i felt comfortable. my mom was always codepnedent on somebody else instead of trying to succeed and the men she tended to date were always abusive in some form. its going to be hard, but you really are a pretty girl and you have to see beyond tomorrow. things will get better. i hope you smile today.
