Following a cough virus about 6 weeks ago I have developed a bubbling/crackling sound when I breath out. Sometimes I can cough some mucus. I have been treated twice with antibiotics, which have not worked, and have also been given preventer and rescue inhalers for asthma. Dr has said it sounds like it is from the left side of my chest and today sent me for an xray which will not be ready for 2 weeks! I feel well, apart from a bit of catarrh which could be from hayfever, but this is constantly on my mind and I feel like crying.
I am 36 and have never smoked.
