Q: Bruise on head

my niece is 3 months old she has a bruise on the left side of skull since birth , it has been increasing and now is on half her skull . she is very healthy and active kid responds well . she has no pain . what is it?

That would be a question that her pediatrition should be able to answer. If it had not increased in size I would have said it was a birth mark but they do not grow after birth (that I am aware of).

A birthmark is a reasonable explanation. Birthmarks sometimes diminish or grow depending on what kind it is. You should take her to her pediatrician to make sure of this.

Also, not only it is good to get a doctor's early opinion if it happens to be a birthmark or possible internal condition, it will keep others (such as relatives or day care facilities) from being judgmental about possible abuse.

bruise
In response to the bruising, I’ve been using this stuff on my kids for a while that’s been working great. They both play soccer so they get cuts and bruises on their legs often, not to mention they’re just generally rough when they play. I was reffered to this stuff called bruiseMD by another mother at school. The ingredients are all natural and it works quickly so it’s a great bruise remedy. Hope that helps!
