I recently had what I assume was my period. It was extreamly light, not enough for a tampon, lasted for 7 days and was accomponied by minstral cramps. However it was brown and kind of clumpy, almost like the last day of your period, but it lasted the full week. I am still noticing a littl bit of the same thing here and there even though the period ended yesterday. It was the right time for my period so the timing was not off. I have also never had sex. Upon looking this up on line the only things that came up were about pregnancy.

For the last month I have not been sleeping regularly and have not been eating/exercising as well as I should have been (I am a student and therefore have no time for anything). I don't think these are side affects though.

Does anyone know what this is? Should I go get it checked out? The school nurse was more conserned that I wasn't sleeping than she was that I was having a crazy cycle.

Brown discharge is just old menstrual blood. Sometimes the flow is so little that, instead of running down like normal, it takes a while to make it out of the vagina. The result is that the blood is older, darker and beginning to clot.
