Q: brown & stinky discharge

ago I began experiencing an oddly grotesque smelling period. I've always had normal & regular periods & I don't take birth control. I haven't had any sex in over a month because of this issue & I refuse to be touched vaginally. Now not only are my periods gross, I have daily brown & smelly discharge & then it's even more emphasized during my period. I can smell it through my clothes & I'm hyper-self-conscious about it when in public. I'm too embarassed to talk about it with anyone. I don't even know if I can describe what it smells like, I guess the closest thing I can compare it to is the smell of mestruation blood.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Sounds like an infection.
It's common for women to develop infections during their period that may or may not go away on their own.
You may just need some antibiotics to get everything back to normal. Infections are very common, so don't worry about speaking with a doctor about it.
